Xbox Series S Is Now Even Cheaper Than The Nintendo Switch

FR Stories

Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series S would be discounted to $250 throughout the holiday season.

The Xbox Series S is $250, and some retailers are running promotions that make it even cheaper.

It doesn't support 4K gaming, but if you don't have a 4K TV yet you won't be missing out anyway.

The Series S is the perfect Game Pass machine, running recent blockbusters well enough and providing a cheap entry point to the rest of the service's giant revolving library.

According to Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, the Xbox Series X/S loses $100-200 per sale on average, so it's selling it so cheaply to move units.

Sony announced it would raise the price of the PS5 by $50 in other countries.

Microsoft has gestured to raising the prices of its games and services in the near future.
